This activity uses several different tools within the Mathomat V7 template to enlarge 2-D shapes. Understanding how to use Mathomat in a number of different ways for this activity is important. Along the way we begin to discover the properties of some important geometric shapes, such as the octagon and scalene triangles. We learn about similarity, as we expand a shape while retaining its original shape.
