In the investigation, on page one, you can use the ellipse on your Mathomat to create a drawing of a banner which is also a tessellation. In the second activiyon this page try using the shape cluster in your Mathomat to copy some of the creative tessellation designs you will see there.
On the second page of investigations you can use your Mathomat to make a hexagon, and to convert the 2-D hexagon into a drawing of a 3-D cube.
