We construct a pair of vertically opposite angles using shape 36 in Mathomat V7, the scalene triangle. Building on knowledge from this activity we then use Mathomat to calculate the size of a reflex angle. We learn to extend an imaginary line from the horizontal ray in an angle to help us in working with the angle. There are different ways in which Mathomat can be used to measure angle. We discuss some of these in the conclusion to the activity.
